Paintings Shows The Artist FAQ Policies Contact

Its been seven years since the very first solo exhibition of my acrylic abstract paintings. That took place at the Studio of Conceptual Designs, located at 698 Cooper Street, here in Ottawa where we will return for the latest show. That first showing of my artwork was well attended, with many friends and family stopping by the salon to offer me congratulations, support and encouragement; indeed, several of my canvases found new homes during that gathering of art lovers.

I was delighted to be invited back to the Studio to show some of my recent work. I appreciate the opportunity to display my miniature abstracts as well, each of which is unique. These miniatures provide a sample of the intense experiences that the larger canvases can generate. Moreover, the miniatures, works of art in their own right, frame up quite well.

This show is the fourth of a natural progression from “Uncharted Territory”, “Rough Terrain”, “Strange Seas of Thought” and finally “Universe in my Hands”, a reference to the great Leonardo da Vinci. So come with me to enter a universe where nothing is predictable and anything might happen at any moment.

Photographs, including those of my artwork, were taken by my husband, Glenn MacDonell.
